Welcome from the Co-Chairs

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Biologic Association and the International Sports Medicine Conference Chairs and Program Directors, we wish you a warm welcome to this exciting and novel 4-day interactive and educational event including the 1st Orthobiologics Summit and the 20th International Sports Medicine Fellows Conference (ISMF).

BIOLOGIC ASSOCIATION

Biologic Association Think Tank - Wednesday, February 5, 2020
The Think Tank for innovation incorporates forward thinking surgeons, scientists and industry partners. The presenters (“contestants”) are industry and academic researchers with new orthobiologics ideas, products and applications. They will appear before a panel of judges who will grade on both the potential impact on patient care and business success. (requires advance registration)

Biologic Association 1st Orthobiologics Summit - Thursday and Friday, February 6 & 7, 2020
A well renowned faculty will present state-of-the-art lectures on topics focused on orthobiologics including evidenced- based science, position reviews and management algorithms.

On Friday morning we offer an optional Ultrasound and Orthobiologics Workshop (tickets are required). This hands-on workshop will serve to enhance your educational experience with focus on diagnostic and injection techniques for all orthobiologics interventions.

Social events for the Biologic Association include a Course Dinner on Thursday, February 6 at 7:30. You may enquire about ticket purchases at the registration desk as space is limited.

20th INTERNATIONAL SPORTS MEDICINE FELLOWS CONFERENCE

In its 20th year, the mission of the ISMF Conference is to educate, train, and motivate sports medicine fellows on all state-of-the-art and innovative concepts, technology and techniques – including knee joint preservation, patellofemoral, and beyond. In these next few days, we hope you will take advantage of networking with your peers and the course faculty.

This year there are three workshops for all fellows, the Ultrasound and Orthobiologics Workshop (Friday morning); the Cartilage Restoration Workshop (Saturday) and the Patellofemoral Workshop (Saturday). You will participate as teams of two to three fellows at each workstation with the opportunity to perform cartilage restoration and patellofemoral procedures. Preceding the workshops, we will present Live Surgical Demonstrations.

The fellows and faculty of the ISMF are invited to an Annual Reception and Dinner in the Grand Pacific Ballroom following Friday’s program.

We hope you all take the time to enjoy the beautiful California coast, with its natural beauty and variety of activities. This will be an outstanding experience for all. We welcome attendees from all over the world hungry for information related to orthobiologics and cartilage repair and management.

Best Regards,

Biologic Association
